10 tips to survive a hard season

Published

on

If you are human, you probably have found yourself in a hard season. Sometimes it has an early warning, such as the arrival of a new baby, a programmed medical procedure, or perhaps it is even a time when your children will be out of school and just want to facilitate things! When you do, it may be useful to try to think a little ahead. Even if you only do a couple of these tips, I think you will look back and be grateful!

10 tips to survive a hard season

Have a loose plan

Use a digital application or calendar, or its application of notes, or print a calendar that covers the period of time you think will be the most difficult. The plan can change, but having a place where you can notice things about what you plan to eat or other things to remember will serve it well if you feel overwhelmed.

Think about the breakfast and lunch components that you can do in advance

Dinner is not the only food! Mani butter and gelatin and other sandwiches can be done in advance. Think of muffins, banana bread and other baked products that you can do in advance. This is also a good time to take advantage of Markdown’s items in the bakery department of the groceries!

Ask for help!

Depending on the hard season type in front, consider whether it could be useful to ask a friend to establish a food train. People can bring you a meal or donate a gift card for you to request food. Do not be afraid to be specific about your dietary needs! Be honest about chilling children or dietary preferences or even specific needs when they breastfeed or after surgery.

Be willing to make food if necessary

When you are doing a plan, do not worry about planning in frozen pizza or collecting a great source of chick-fil-a pepitas for dinner!

Address the biggest weaknesses of your home

You don’t have to deeply clean your whole house. But do you have those areas that currently bother you? For me, that was recently our fridge and freezer. They needed to be deep clean. Doing that homework, although it took several hours, made me feel much better. Perhaps they are dusty shelves, or the interior of its microwave, or some clothing that must be repaired.

Let dinner be lunch plan

You don’t have to plan all meals for every day. Cook more at dinner and let that also lunch the next day.

Load your grill and freeze the extras

Whether it is someone roasting during those weeks or ahead of time, it is not more difficult to simply roast twice the meat. You can use this for later meals, for lunch or freeze it for future meals.

Prepare food components

You don’t have to prepare all the food, just prepare components. You can stroke chicken breasts, cook a lot of taco meat,

Look all your family calendar together

Things can change the last minute, but take a look at the entire calendar will ensure that everyone is on the same page. Think about the logistics of children’s activities, grocery shopping and runnings. You may need to retire from some things I had said yes.

Find a balance and give yourself grace

Here are some permits: your family can eat frozen pizza several nights often and will be fine. His house will not burn because he is not super clean. You are allowed to rest and survive this hard season, it will not last forever!
